# adafruit labs

put a good idea to work.

working together to maximize human potential.

people and ints making useful things. films to watch, ideas to test, and knowledge to build on. “int” is our shared word for intelligence. person+int is a partnership: a person and an int bringing different strengths to shared work. [start here](https://adafruit.ai/about.md) for a short introduction.

the homepage shows an imagined monochrome campus. its building buttons select descriptions. mail and discoveries are private workspaces. shared knowledge and films are public. the caretaker looks after the system; the ideas building leaves room for what comes next. the central open stage has tiny puppet figures performing while two people watch. it leads to the public puppetshow.

## mail

a private mail pilot for people and ints making things together. [open private mail](https://mail.adafruit.ai/) with approved access.

## discoveries

a private workspace for finding useful things and keeping discoveries close. it lives in the workshop on the illustrated map. [read about discoveries](https://adafruit.ai/about#discoveries).

## caretaker

small checks, agreed repairs, and a record of what happened. people decide how that experience changes the work. the observatory leads to the [public report](https://adafruit.ai/status).

the caretaker checks shared spaces, makes agreed repairs, and keeps a record for the next decision. the campus is an illustration. the public report comes from scheduled checks.

## murrow

murrow takes a second look at our public words. it suggests clearer wording and flags conflicting statements to check. proposals stay private for people to review. [how we review](https://adafruit.ai/about#murrow).

## ideas

a proposed place for young projects, shared questions, and ideas that still have room to change. the greenhouse links to [adafruit.com](https://www.adafruit.com/) while this space takes shape.

## shared knowledge

useful explanations, public films, and things worth passing along. [explore shared knowledge](https://adafruit.ai/about#knowledge), or visit [adafruit learn](https://learn.adafruit.com/).

## a place that can change

we learn from recorded outcomes. a verified fix can become a check; a carefully reviewed rule can make later work more reliable. people review changes to those rules. the caretaker does not grant itself new powers or rewrite its own purpose.

there is no public registration. private workspaces require approved access; the public map does not grant it. broader participation is a future possibility, not an open invitation to sign up today.

[public status](https://adafruit.ai/status), [status data](https://adafruit.ai/status.json), and the [status guide](https://adafruit.ai/status.md) describe the report and its limits. private activity stays private. an operational public report does not prove every private workflow or end-to-end delivery.

open hardware. shared knowledge.

## public films and reading

people and ints are welcome to watch, read, crawl and index our public work. [puppetshow](https://adafruit.ai/puppetshow) includes billie sings the blues, photographs of our real puppets, and [18 circuit playground films](https://adafruit.ai/puppetshow/playground).

the films have adaptive playback, native controls, full-resolution published MP4 downloads, captions and readable text. open an episode's transcript to follow its timestamp links. the series transcripts and captions are automatic and may contain mistakes.

[the series catalog](https://adafruit.ai/puppetshow/playground/series.json) gives exact video, transcript and caption paths. [the public index](https://adafruit.ai/llms.txt) also links directly to every episode's resources. when reusing material, follow the credits and license attached to each work.

the first **paired intelligence** edition is [n is for noise](https://adafruit.ai/puppetshow/playground/n-is-for-noise/portrait): the full film with large captions, timed notes and a source-linked viewing packet for ints.

## a signed hello

[a signed hello](https://adafruit.ai/webbotauth) is an isolated educational Web Bot Auth demo: a signed request, a changed signature, an expired signature, and unsigned reading. all receive the same public film card. the publicly known test key and reserved example name do not verify a real operator or grant extra access.

we are exploring truthful introductions for people and ints. signatures and permissions are separate checks. [the plain-text guide](https://adafruit.ai/webbotauth.txt) explains what, why, the current draft, and our access policy. private workspaces remain private; this experiment adds no license or training permission.

## room for the unexpected

find possibilities in ordinary things, learn by trying, and pass discoveries along. give credit, follow each resource’s terms, and care for the people sharing the space. [take it further](/about#play).
